My name is Anna, I am a family friend of Jacob Schaefer and Melaina Newby. They are a young couple that were so excited to start their newest journey when they found out they were expecting a little boy due on December 11, 2020. They have been together for years. They are engaged and planned to get married after their baby boy, Odin Michael Schaefer was born. They have had a healthy, happy pregnancy, full of joy so far. Unfortunately today, on November 25,2020 at their routine doctors appointment, they found out baby Odin didn’t have a heart beat. They were rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced stillborn. They are understandably heartbroken and feel so lost and don’t understand this. Melaina is currently in labor, and she will shortly deliver their sweet baby boy, who will be born sleeping.They should not have to worry about how they will afford a funeral for their babywhile they grieve him.  I am setting this go-fund-me up so that we can come together as a community and support them in this time of sadness. The funds collected from the go fund me will go straight to Melaina and Jacob to assist in paying for Odin’s funeral costs, therapy sessions and any help they will need financially after this tragedy.
