Hello everyone, 

My Nephew Noah was born on Feburary 25, 2019. Nearing his one month anniversary of life, they noticed something unoridnary in his right eye. Like any other parents, my sister-in-law Laura Cervantes and older brother Danny Ngo immediately took Noah to his primary who urgently sent them to Holtz Hospital in Miami,FL to recieve the finest care he can get. They are known to be the best Pediatric Cancer/Eye Specialist in the nation. What was most reassuring was when people we knew had said the same thing. 

Later that weekend, they had diagnosed him with Retinoblastoma (tumor in both of his eyes). They wanted to keep him further to do a full body scan to make sure nothing had spread throughout his little body. Post-surgery, the results showed the percentage rate of being able to save his vision in both eyes is high, for now, with a 78% chance in the right eye which was the more prominent one and 98% chance in the left. After reviewing his course of treatment, Noah will be going through Chemotherapy every 3 weeks (until tumor free)
at Holtz Hospital in Miami, FL, as well as, full body scans. 

 Crazy to say, cancer does not run in either family. For this to develop in a family that has not experienced such a thing is truly tragic.
It is heartbreaking when Noah has not a had chance in life yet to have this happen to him. Unfortunately, his insurance does not cover his full course of treatment nor certain procedures. Best anyone can do for the family is to pray, love and  support them as much as we can.
