Hi! This fundraiser is for my dear friend Sarah with an H. She and I started working with each other in the NICU in the year 2020.

Sarah is an AMAZING advocate for her patients and their parents and she is such a thoughtful and considerate coworker. I feel like I can continue to list more adjectives to describe her strengths, but to sum it all up, she has an immense capacity for empathy, sympathy, and love.

Ever since she started opening up to me, she has told me she really wants to be a mom; she wants to have a tiny human of her own to shower with love and affection. However the opportunity just never presented itself, until December 22, 2022 when a certain baby was admitted to the NICU.

While preparing the Christmas picture giveaways for our patients, Sarah found out that one of our babies did not have a name yet because his biological mom did not want to keep him. She IMMEDIATELY felt in her heart he deserved better so she gave him a name for the duration of his stay in the NICU. She named him Nicholas.

But she could not stop thinking about baby Nicholas and his dire situation so she not only gave him a name but she also made the life-altering choice to give him a home .

Unfortunately the process of this blessing was not easy or cheap, which is why we are reaching out for help to lessen the financial burden of making Nicholas a part of her family (her fees exceed $10K). Any help you guys are able to give would mean so much to Sarah and Baby Nicholas.
