Baby Loss Support with My Poppy Rose

Donation protected

In October 2018 our world shattered when our daughter Poppy Rose was born sleeping. Poppy was extremely poorly and we had to face decisions no parent should ever have to face. Throughout the weeks leading to Poppy's birth, as we went through Poppy's diagnosis and devastating uncertainty, I searched and searched for families in the same situation as us. I needed someone to relate too, someone to say I see you. But I couldn't find anyone so I promised myself, my husband and most importantly Poppy that I would write about our journey and if I could help just one person feel seen it would be worth baring my soul.

I began to write and created my website www.mypoppyrose.co.uk. Here I have written about our journey, provided links for baby loss support and I create graphics with quotes written by myself for loss parents to relate to. All of this is shared on my social media channels to reach as many families that I can.

From here I have created a project called 'Hearts from Poppy' where I make hearts for siblings, grandparents and those who have been through compassionate induction (TFMR). Each heart is handmade by myself. These have been placed in the Mid and South Essex Maternity Bereavement Suites. I have also put together two Journals - 'Baby Loss and Grief Journal' and 'Angel Daddy Journal' which I would love to start getting into the Maternity Bereavement Suites too.

If you would like to help My Poppy Rose I would be incredibly grateful. The following shows how your support could help:

- £7 would enable one of my Baby Loss Journals to be given to a Maternity Bereavement suite

- £6 would enable a set of Hearts to be given to a maternity bereavement suite

- £25 would help towards one month of website costs

Any support means the world; a share on social media, a like, anything that helps me to continue to support the families that mean so much to me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sara xx
