Baby Joshua Needs You: Born at 30 Weeks

On 11/12/2024, Baby Joshua decided to make his appearance early at only 30 weeks gestation. Having contractions, I headed to the hospital thinking all was going to be okay, but things took a turn when I was already fully dilated. There was no stopping his birth. Having more complications, I ended up having an emergency c-section.

We knew we had a long road ahead of us, but we were ready to fight.After only 6 weeks of being born prematurely he had to be transferred to CHOP in Philadelphia to get a surgery to close his PDA a problem in his heart. All went well with the procedure, but the fight is still not over. Joshua remains in the hospital closer to home working on his feedings. Unfortunately we have found out that our insurance will not cover all the expenses in CHOP and it leaves us with medical bills.
