Hello everyone! I am fundraising to help pay for the cost of Jayden’s open heart surgery to fix his tetralogy of fallot. Jayden was diagnosed with a heart murmur after his birth and was taken for a heart echo to find he has two holes in his heart (ASD and a VSD). His ASD was small and would look like it would close up on its own while his VSD was much larger and would need to be seen by a specialist. We took him to his first cardiologist appointment and he was diagnosed with tetralogy of fallot. Tetralogy of fallot (ToF) is made up of 4 different issues with the heart. He has his large VSD (hole between his left and right verticals), thickening of his right ventricle wall, narrowing of his pulmonary artery, and aorta override. His oxygenated and deoxygenated blood are mixing in his heart instead of being kept separate not supplying oxygenated blood to his body. He will need to undergo open heart surgery to fix these heart issues around 4-5 months old and should make a full recovery. We greatly appreciate any help we receive!
