Baby Holden Cade & Family
Donation protected
On July 31, 2024, Tammy and Kirk McLellan welcomed the arrival of their newest family member, a baby boy named Holden Cade. He joins his siblings, 22-month-old Miles, 15-year-old Danielle, and 13-year-old Tanner.
After a swift birth all wasn't well with baby Holden. He was delivered with a pinched umbilical cord which prevented him from receiving the oxygen he needed to thrive. After being rushed to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre the doctors assessed Holden and quickly realized that he would need more help than they could give, and that is when Holden was admitted in to the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton.
With the help of the amazing doctors and nurses, Holden has made some small strides to recovery but he still has a long road ahead. As of now, Holden faces brain function challenges and is now using a CPAP machine, as he cannot fully breathe on his own.
If you have ever experienced a stay at the Stollery or the Ronald McDonald House Charities, I ask you to look inward and remember how that was for you and if a little extra could have gone a long way. And if you haven't... I say, be thankful.
Tammy and Kirk are presently residing at the RMH and are unsure of when they will be able to return to their home in Red Deer. Any donation, big or small, will help cover bills and alleviate any financial stress their family will face. Let us ease the minds of the McLellan family and allow them to focus on bringing their baby boy home.
