Baby Fund and Paternity Leave

Great news, our baby has arrived!

He is healthy and thriving but he's here roughly 3 weeks ealier than expected, and because of his grand entrance into this world, my partner had to get a C-Section and is going to take longer to recover than we had originally expected.

This means that I was not able to work the additional overtime I had scheduled so that alone has put us at a slight financial deficite. I was able to accumulate roughly 2 weeks paid off of work (using all of my PTO and my Floating Holiday PTO for the remainder of the year) but her recovery time is said to be 3-6 weeks. After arriving home from an extended stay at the hospital, we are realizing that these coming weeks are crucial for me to be at home. We also have found that our finances have quickly run dry in attempts to getting last minute items for our newborn.

We are hoping to raise enough money for 1 month of rent, bills, and hopefully some extra money to get some remaining items from our Amazon Baby Registry. It is roughly $3000.

$1200 - Rent

$600 - Bills

$600 - Food, Gas, Household necesitites (for 1 month per our pre-baby budget)

$500 - Diapers, Wipes, Items from our registry and other unforseen expenses
