Baby Fras Hikes Kilimanjaro

Hello, I'm Fraser, or Baby Fras, and I am the club treasurer for Leathermen Scotland.

This summer, I will be hiking Mount Kilimanjaro and will be raising funds towards Leathermen Scotland with 50% of what is raised going towards the clubs chosen charity of the year, LGBT Youth Scotland.

As a club, we believe that we have worked really hard over the last few years to provide a safe and accessible social space which has benefited the LGBT+ community in Scotland and further a field.

Leathermen Scotland is a group run entirely by volunteers. We’ve achieved so much growth since our formation in 2019, our history and other information the club can be found on our website www.leathermen.scot

We aim to provide a safe and open space for all members of the LGBT+ community interested in Leather and fetish to come together to make new friends, reconnect with old friends and to show a positive public image of the Leather and fetish community.

We host monthly socials in person where we are able to promote the Scottish LGBT+ scene, visiting many of Scotland's LGBT+ bars and businesses. When COVID-19 restrictions prevented us from meeting in person, we ran online social events via Zoom. Members have told us how invaluable these events have been, especially for those who are older, or who live outwith the central belt where there is less of a local Leather community.

The purpose of this fundraiser is for us to continue providing these services and to build strong and meaningful connections with clubs around the world, while also donating money to LGBT Youth Scotland.
