We have set up this go fund me page on behalf of a very special family.

On the 19th June 2024, James Banks and Kelly Brooker welcomed their beautiful little Ella into the world and have spent their first three weeks in absolute new baby bliss!

Sadly, on the weekend of the 19th of July they had the devastating news that Ella has been diagnosed with leukaemia. Since then the hospital has become their home, and what should be the happiest moments of their life will now be a case of taking each day at a time whilst they learn more about Ella’s diagnosis.

More recently we now know that Ella has been diagnosed with a very rare case of Congenital Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) which is a very rare type of childhood Leukaemia. The estimated 175–200 reported cases suggest that the condition affects about 1 in 5 million people. What we also know is that Ella and her family will now be in the hospital for at least the next 6-9 months whilst they take on this chapter (and we know that Ella will put up such a fight ).

We have set up this GoFundMe to support James, Kelly and Ella through this really difficult time. James is currently self-employed, and Kelly is on maternity leave and we would like to support them as much as possible with their bills etc, so they are able to be at the hospital as much as they can with their little one.

Right now they are facing the very early stages of their journey, and we hope to be able to post updates as time goes on, but first and foremost we would like to respect Kelly and James privacy whilst they navigate these first steps ♥️
