My best friend and her husband are going through one of the worst and happiest times of their lives. Tanaya found out she was pregnant with twins and all was well until they discovered that their little girl had a rare disease called PKS and CDH. These diseases would ultimately take little Adah's life. Adah was a strong little girl and held on until the morning of her birth. Saddened at the loss of their baby girl, Troy and Tanaya were able to find comfort and happiness in the birth of their son Cooper.
About 6 hours after the birth of Cooper and Adah, it was found that Cooper had bleeding in his brain. Doctors were able to find and do surgery to drain this blood. However, it was later discovered that the bleeding caused a blood clot that went to the middle of lil Cooper's brain.
Unfortunately, due to where this clot is, there is nothing that doctors can do. They can simply administer medications and pray for the clot to turn to liquid again on its own. If the clot does not turn to liquid, it could ultimately dislodge and move to Coopers heart. This could cause his brain to herniate and cause death.
The hardest part of this is that Troy is the sole financial provider in this family. Troy must return to work next week because they cannot afford for him to not work.
This family has been through so much and are still facing uncertainty. My prayer is that the blood clot will dissipate on its own and Cooper will be healed in Jesus name! But, in the meantime, I want to try to raise as much money as we can to financially help this family. I want Troy to be able to take FMLA and not worry about having to report to work on Monday or about money. Nobody should EVER have to make the decision to stay by their child when their life is in danger or go to work.
Please help this family with anything that you can and most importantly PRAY for them All!
