Clorinda Grace Casados (Baby Clo Clo)

This Fundraiser is to inform you that Clorinda Grace Casados (Baby Clo Clo), daughter to Stephanie Casados, is currently admitted to the Anschutz Medical Campus-Children's Hospital, Aurora Colorado at 13123 East 16th Avenue Aurora, CO 80045.

Baby Clo Clo was born on September 12, 2024, a child with a very complex history. Baby Clo Clo was diagnosed in utero with not only Nijgemen Breakage Syndrome (NBS) but also has multiple congenital defects. Her NBS results in Baby Clo Clo being chronically immunocompromised. Her congenital anomalies include hydrocephalus related to brain cysts, a cleft palate, cardiac septal wall defects, and a urogenital-gastrointestinal defect.

Having a congenital syndrome associated with immunodeficiency makes Baby Clo Clo highly susceptible to infection.

Due to her medical fragility and increased needs, Baby Clo Clo requires continuous care and monitoring. Her current care plan includes enteral feeding through access in her abdominal wall (commonly referred to as a G-Button), irrigation of her vagino-rectal malformation to elicit elimination of her bowels, administration of daily medication through her G-Button, monthly injections, and heightened infection-control measures in caregiving and of her environment. Given Baby Clo Clo vast medical needs, her prognosis is poor and the length of her life will be significantly shortened.

Finally, family support is very important while an infant is in the hospital and Baby Clo Clo's mother has been present at her bedside to provide this throughout her admission. This process acknowledges that flexibility is challenging. We would greatly appreciate any accommodations, support, and understanding you can provide during this time. The mother needs to be away from work without pay to stay by her baby's side, and the duration of her absence from work and being home will depend on baby Clo Clo's recovery journey.

Please keep Baby Clo Clo in your thoughts and prayers for a healthy recovery so she can return home to New Mexico. Her three sisters love and miss their mommy and baby sister very much.
