From early February this year I will be spending three months volunteering as a Baby Care Giver for a charity called Watoto in Uganda.

I am currently on a Gap Year prior to taking up a place at university in September, and have been working as a nanny since finishing college last summer. I am really excited at this opportunity to travel and serve such a deserving cause. While I am there I will be working full time as an unpaid volunteer, caring for orphaned and abandoned babies under two years old. I would be so grateful if you would consider donating towards my costs - any donation however small would be very much appreciated!

About Watoto

Watoto is a Christian charity based in Uganda and South Sudan. Their villages provide homes, families and care to over 3000 orphaned or abandoned children.

My role

Watoto rescues many babies every year and they are cared for in small families of four, receiving all the medical care, nutrition and love they desperately need. I will be working full time with the babies, including night shifts, to help provide them with the best possible start in life.
