We’re Megan and Zachary Burket. Starting a family has always been the greatest desire of our hearts. As Christians, our faith has been our anchor through the challenges and uncertainties of our fertility journey, giving us strength and guiding us to keep moving forward despite setbacks.

Several years ago, Megan underwent surgery that resulted in the removal of one ovary and fallopian tube, and she was also diagnosed with PCOS. We knew these challenges would make conceiving more difficult, but we remained determined to become parents.

After trying naturally without success, we pursued fertility testing. Megan’s remaining ovary and fallopian tube were healthy, and my semen analysis and bloodwork came back normal, giving us encouragement. Based on these results, our doctor recommended intrauterine insemination (IUI). We completed two cycles, following every instruction and trusting the process—but neither attempt was successful. The heartbreak was overwhelming, and we felt devastated after investing so much emotionally, physically and financially.

Our doctor has now recommended in vitro fertilization (IVF) as our last hope to start a family. While this gives us renewed hope, the cost is more than we can manage on our own, which is why we are turning to our friends, family, and community for support.

We never imagined we'd be here, asking for help, but this journey has taught us that it's okay to lean on others during difficult times. IVF is our only option to grow our family, but the financial burden is overwhelming—especially since our insurance does not cover any of the treatment. We're doing everything we can to make this possible, but we can't do it alone, and timing is critical.
