Baby Hunter

Hi everyone!

Hunter was born on July 21st at 8:29am. His due date was November 7th, 2021. He came into the world 24 weeks old weighing 1.3 lbs.

Cassy went into the hospital with cramping and found out she was in was preterm labor. Soon after - she underwent an emergency C-Section.

Hunter has been on a roller coaster ride his first few days in the world. He has undergone several blood transfusions, has a hole in his heart and has fluid in his lungs. Cassy has now learned that he has a grade 3 brain bleed in both ventricles causing pressure on his brain. His next brain scan is Friday in which she will keep updates going on this page.

Cassy is self-employed, not eligible for government funding and is therefore not earning any income at the time. With the baby coming so early, she hasn't had full-time to prepare and get everything in order to take time off and be by Hunters side. Hunter may now be transferred to Sick Kids in Toronto and she will not be able to afford living costs, especially in 2 cities.

We've started this go fund me in attempts to alleviate some financial burden as Cassy and baby are both putting all of their focus on living. Anything you are able to contribute is helpful and so very very appreciated.
