Anyone who knows Asia and Scot knows that they are the kindest people and will be the most loving parents to the lucky child who gets to join their family. And for those of us who have been fortunate enough to have Asia teach our own children, we can say with confidence that their child will be surrounded by the most enriching experiences, nurtured to develop strong social and emotional skills, and loved unconditionally.
After a years-long adoption journey, Asia and Scot have been matched with a birth mother in California and hope to bring their baby home in June. Please consider giving any amount to help them with the costly adoption process (including attorney fees, birth mom's housing and food, medical costs, lodging while waiting for court approval, etc.) required to achieve their goal of expanding their beautiful family.
A bit about their process so far, as written by Asia:
We started this process in 2019 by saving up and selling my house. We are beyond excited that someone finally chose us. We had a long "match" call with her on Feb 2. We felt immediately connected to her. People always told us we would just know when we talked to the right mama, and we did. We all like the same things, and the most important thing to her is that her baby has love, which we have in spades. We are currently supporting the expectant mama to see her safely through her pregnancy. We are paying her attorney, rent, groceries, and transportation. In mid-June (unless she delivers early), we plan to drive to California for the baby's birth. We will most likely have to stay for about 10 days while we sign papers with birth mama, meet with a social worker, and wait for the courts to approve us to transport the baby out of state. It could be longer depending on if he has to stay in the NICU. Once we are cleared to leave, we will head home!
