UPDATE!
We have matched! We are so thrilled, excited, joyful, exuberant...really all the good "feels". We were chosen by a birth mother on May 11, 2021. We were able to talk with her via a voice call and have been in contact with her via text to get to know her more and establish a relationship. We'll be meeting her in August (Jacksonville, FL), we're thrilled to be able to meet her in person prior to the delivery! Baby Thea is due October 6, we will be able to be in Jacksonville for her birth and Corrie will be able to be in the delivery room. God has been so good throughout this process and it's been awesome to see his hand in all of the details. We will make sure to keep this page updated as we get more sonograms and more info! Thank you for going on this journey with us!

Dear family & friends,
When God called us to begin the adoption process in March, 2020, we questioned his timing but know His plan is BEST! Over the years, He's been preparing our hearts for this journey as we have weathered infertility and miscarriages. After being married for five years, we desired to start our family—we’ve now celebrated eleven years—and in November of 2017, we were ecstatic as it finally seemed to be happening since we had a positive pregnancy test. In December, we went in for our eight-week sonogram. Moments dragged by in silence and then we heard the dreaded words of every hopeful parent, “There is no heartbeat.” We were devastated; “Why was this happening?” God was so good in the months to come, comforting and reassuring that He was in control. In July of 2018, overjoyed that we were pregnant again, we experienced more sorrow and heartache as we miscarried once again. I cried out to God, “WHY?” “WHY?” “WHY?” as we knew the desire to become parents was from Him.
While the wounds are still there, God has healed our hearts and brought us closer to Him. Our faith and trust have grown through our infertility journey and, even more so, during our adoption journey. We have seen His hands throughout the process. We are so grateful to be working with Kelly Todd from Christian Adoption Consultants as she has guided us through the complexities and questions of adoption. During the past six months, we have had the opportunity to review many adoption “situations” and have felt led to “present” to six. It's been a privilege to be able to pray for each expectant mother and baby situation we’ve received.
As God delights in orchestrating the events of our lives for His glory, we eagerly expect all of the pieces of our adoption story to come together in the coming months. We anticipate receiving our “YES,” from an expectant mother and meeting our little one! We are looking forward to being able to pray and minister to our little one's birth parents as God leads in the years to come. In this process, involving $55,000+ (agency fees, consultant fees, family profile, home study, post-placement social worker visits, etc), we would love for you to be a part of our ADOPTION COMMUNITY, whether through prayer, financially, or both. Any gift amount would be greatly appreciated.
