Baby Beens (medical & funeral expenses)
Krishna and Taylor were excited to hear the news that baby number four was on the way, as they have always dreamed of a big family. The excitement quickly overtook the couple and their three kids and they started planning for their future with another child. At week twelve the couple went to the ultrasound with full hearts and happiness, and left with heavy hearts, sadness and confusion. They were told that their baby had something called Acrania. Acrania is a rare congenital disorder in which the skull doesn’t fully form, leaving part of the brain exposed. A couple months later they were informed that their baby developed Anacephaly, which is where the exposed brain suffers damage by being exposed to the amniotic fluid.. They were faced with two options. Either terminate the pregnancy, or try to carry to term knowing that there won’t be a baby to bring home at the end of the pregnancy. Krishna and Taylor knew what they had to do, even though it’s going to be a hard journey and will lead to heartbreak.
These two are going through something that NO PARENT should ever have to: The loss of achild. While these two are showing a great amount of strength, faith, and courage during thisdifficult time, it is tearing them apart and the last thing they should have to worry about are the medical/funeral expenses. My hope is that we can give this family more time to focus on their family and less time worrying about how they can afford a nice funeral for this precious baby.
