Thank you for taking the time to visit our page. My sweet sister and her husband, Brynn and Donny, are seven months pregnant with their first child (WHOOHOO!) I cannot wait to be a first time Aunt to a beautiful girl, Avri Nichole. However, we have found out baby Avri has TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries.) This is a heart defect that will require Avri to have open heart surgery within the first days/week of life. As devastating as it was to find out, we couldn’t be luckier that it was caught early… before the delivery. Now we can be as prepared as possible for what’s to come. So, I’ve decided to set up this fundraiser for her. Not only are the surgeries and long hospital stays going to rack up bills, but due to the nature of the diagnosis Brynn will have to deliver 7 hours from her home at a hospital with a cardiac unit that can accommodate Avri’s medical needs. This means she will be taking lots of time off work to be at the same hospital as the baby. We hope insurance will kick in to help with most of the expensive medical side of things, but staying away from home for months, and whatever insurance doesn’t cover is really going to add up. Long story short, my amazing family has a long road ahead emotionally and financially, but we got this! I'd just like to take as much stress off of her as I can.
