Baby Aubrey's Heart- For Callie & Jonathan Pearson
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
Macon and I have created this GoFundMe for his brother Jonathan, his wife Callie, and their sweet little baby girl that will arrive in February, Aubrey.
We are reaching out today with heavy hearts and a plea for support for our sweet Aubrey, who was diagnosed with a serious heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA) before birth. This rare congenital defect means that the main arteries that carry blood from the heart — the pulmonary artery and the aorta — are switched, preventing oxygen-rich blood from circulating through the body properly.
When Jonathan and Callie first received this diagnosis, their world came crashing down. They had so many hopes and dreams for their child, and hearing that Aubrey's heart wasn’t forming as it should was overwhelming. But from the moment they learned of Aubrey's condition, they completely gave it to the Lord and have taken many steps to ensure that they make the best decisions for this long road ahead.
Aubrey will need open-heart surgery within the first days of life to correct the TGA. This life-saving procedure is critical, but it's just the beginning of a long road ahead. After the surgery, Aubrey will face months of recovery, countless follow-up appointments, and ongoing medical care to ensure her heart continues to function properly.
While we are grateful for the skilled doctors and nurses who will be caring for Aubrey at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, we know that this journey will come with immense financial strain. Hospital bills, surgeries, medications, and the cost of travel and relocation will quickly add up. Jonathan and Callie will have to move to Houston from Lubbock one month before Aubrey is born in case Callie goes into labor early. In the meantime, they will be traveling back and forth from Lubbock to Houston for many appointments before Aubrey is born. That’s why we’ve started this GoFundMe campaign — to ease the burden of medical expenses and allow us to focus on giving Aubrey the love and care she needs.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference in helping Jonathan and Callie navigate this challenging time. Your support will allow us to provide Aubrey with the best care possible and ensure that we are there for every step of her recovery.
We are also asking for your prayers as we face the unknown. We believe in the power of prayer and that God can do exceedingly abundantly and above all that we can ask or think. We will give God the glory every step of the way.
Your kindness and generosity mean the world to our family.
With love and gratitude,
