This page has been created to raise money for our dear friends, Claire and Ollie, and their baby son Leo. 

After a long journey to have a family, Claire and Ollie finally welcomed Leo Valentine Reed to the world in May this year.



Around 4 weeks after he was born, Leo was rushed into hospital for an emergency operation. During this it was found that his liver was not working properly. Since this time there have been many appointments, tests and investigations at Bristol children’s hospital to try and and understand why this is. The reason for this is still unclear.

2 weeks ago Leo was transferred to a specialist ward at Birmingham children’s hospital. His liver now needs to be replaced and he is waiting for a suitable match for a transplant. The transplant could happen in a matter of days or months.



Claire and Ollie are both by Leo’s side around the clock. They have to care for Leo individually, and due to Covid restrictions this means only one of them can be with Leo at a time and makes everything even harder and lonelier. Their friends and families are unable to support them in the ways they would like to, and we cannot begin to imagine what they are all currently going through as a family.

Claire and Ollie are always the first to offer help and love to anyone that needs it. We  wanted to do something useful for them at this really difficult time.  

By creating this page and asking for donations we can ensure that they don’t have to worry about money for living expenses, or if there is anything additional Leo or they need to help with his treatment that they have money available for this. 

Claire and Ollie firmly believe in the power of positive thinking and have found it helpful to know they have so many people behind them sending them all love and positive thoughts-please keep doing this.

We know times are hard due to Covid, but if you are able to spare a few pounds that would be much appreciated.
