Help Beat Brain Tumours

January this year, my Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

There were no warning signs before he had a stroke. This caused a bleed in his brain but nothing more was suspected and we were told it would likely clear.

The next day, we watched as the bleed worsened and he rapidly deteriorated. He was immediately intubated and rushed to Southampton General Hospital for an emergency Craniotomy (brain surgery). I have never, ever been more relieved when 7 hours later we were told he had miraculously survived.

Weeks later, it was discovered that the cause was an Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma, a grade 3 brain tumour.

It was all a long and horrible time for us all and the pain of nearly losing my beloved Dad is something I dont wish upon anyone. We are endlessly grateful that he is still here with us.

This is why I'm raising money in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity, so that one day no one else will have to suffer at the hands of a brain tumour.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the leader in its field, funding world-class research, providing support and information and raising awareness of brain tumours. They are dedicated to putting an end to this disease, one of the deadliest forms of cancer there is. They have been great support to us during this extremely difficult time.

More information about The Brain Tumour Charity can be found on their website and social media platforms:

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and my family.
