Help with Housing

The Rodriguez Family (mom, dad, two young children, 8 and 10 years old) migrated to the United States from Nicaragua a little under a year ago in search of a better life for their children. Upon arrival, part of their immigration journey included promised housing arrangements that never materialized. Instead, they were offered a home without water or electricity. On September 20, 2023, officials from the City of Miami informed them they had 24 hours to vacate the property. Since then, the Melrose Elementary PTA and staff members have paid for their stay at a nearby hotel. Mr. Rodriguez is working, but his income is not enough to meet the demands of a family of four and save enough money to rent a property. We want to help them finally find a home where they can feel safe and prosper. We are asking the community for their help and support. Please donate any amount possible to help the Rodriguez Family secure an affordable home and finally have stability. No amount is too small for this worthy cause. Thank you.

La Familia Rodríguez (mamá, papá, dos niños pequeños de 8 y 10 años) emigró a Estados Unidos desde Nicaragua hace poco menos de un año en busca de una vida mejor para sus hijos. A su llegada, parte de su trajectoria incluyó acuerdos de vivienda prometidos que nunca se materializaron. En cambio, les ofrecieron una casa sin agua ni electricidad. El 20 de septiembre de 2023, funcionarios de la Ciudad de Miami les informaron que tenían 24 horas para desalojar la propiedad. Desde entonces, la PTA de Melrose Elementary y los miembros del personal han pagado su estadía en un hotel cercano. El señor Rodríguez está trabajando, pero sus ingresos no son suficientes para satisfacer las demandas de una familia de cuatro personas y ahorrar suficiente dinero para alquilar una propiedad. Queremos ayudarlos a encontrar finalmente un hogar donde puedan sentirse seguros y prosperar. Estamos pidiendo a la comunidad su ayuda y apoyo.
