Volunteer expedition to Borneo

Hi my name is Hali and I am fundraising to take part in a volunteer trip in the summer of 2025 to raise money to travel with Camps International to Borneo, for 4 weeks to take part in personal development and charitable project work.
In Borneo I will be helping local communities with projects that directly help them and their needs. As well as this I will be taking part with environmental conservation as Borneo is home to some of the planet's most ancient rainforests, containing concentrated numbers of diverse and endemic species. Unfortunately, decades of logging, land clearing, and agricultural conversion mean that only 50% of this rainforest still remains.
The money raised will go towards helping me raise the money needed to travel and for me to assist in a variety of project work. This includes community development work, wildlife conservation, environmental conservation, and a personal challenge of scuba diving.
The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:
- Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of borneo
- Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of borneo
- Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.
l am not only excited about the expedition but to also raise money and to create events and opportunities to help me reach my final goal as I believe that this will help teach me important life skills that will help me in the future.
