My Eagle Scout project will benefit Ivy Park Senior Living in San Ramon, specifically the memory care center, which provides dedicated support to residents facing Alzheimer's and dementia. This community plays an important role in caring for seniors by offering a safe, and engaging environment.

For my project, I will be building four raised garden beds in the memory care courtyard. These garden beds are designed to be wheelchair-accessible, giving residents the opportunity to safely enjoy gardening, connect with nature, and experience the therapeutic benefits of outdoor activity. Gardening has been shown to improve mood, stimulate memory, and provide comfort for seniors, especially those in memory care. By creating this space, I hope to make the courtyard more interactive and welcoming for the residents.

The total estimated cost for materials and construction is $1,200. Any donations will go directly toward the project and construction, like building supplies such as wood, screws, and stain.
