Support Tracy

Tracy Schumacher has been serving our community for the past nine years as assistant manager at the flagship Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy in Boulder. Tracy and the Pharmaca team have supported the health and wellbeing of the Boulder community by sharing their knowledge and support, giving customers access to natural products and quality supplements.

Two weeks ago, Walgreens purchased Medly (formerly Pharmaca) and shocked our community by announcing that after importing all pharmacy customers to Walgreens, they would be closing all 22 retail stores. Employees were told that they would be without jobs and health insurance by the end of the month. No severance packages. No warning.

Our community has lost a treasure, and Tracy has lost her job and benefits. She has dedicated herself to our community, and she has given her friendship generously to so many of us. Let us now rally around Tracy and help cushion this blow by raising some funds to help tide her over until she finds her next great job. Our contributions will help Tracy:

-Cover her living expenses for two or three months

-Take the time necessary to find a great job

-Pay for private health insurance so she does not have to be uninsured

-Know that she is loved by her friends and appreciated by her community

-Rest for a week or two and recover from this harsh blow.

There comes a time when we all need a hand. Tracy is busy working full-time and looking for a job. However, she could use our support right now. She would never ask for help, which is why I am starting this campaign for her. Our community contributions will help generate a modest severance package for Tracy.
