My name is Karakay Saunders, and I’m from Clarks Town, Trelawny in Jamaica. I’m raising funds to support my family and neighbors / the residents of my community who were severely affected by Hurricane Melissa, which struck Jamaica on October 28, 2025, as a powerful Category 5 storm.
The hurricane destroyed homes, tore off roofs, and flooded entire communities. Many families, including my own, lost everything—food, clothing, and even the means to rebuild. I’m personally connected to everyone I’m helping; these are my relatives, friends, and neighbors who have always supported one another through hard times.
The funds raised will go directly toward:
• Rebuilding and repairing damaged homes
• Purchasing food, clean water, and clothing for families in need
• Assisting with school supplies and uniforms for children whose belongings were lost
• Covering basic medical needs and supplies for those injured or displaced
Every dollar will make a difference in helping our community recover and stand strong again. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers mean the world to us as we rebuild our lives in the aftermath of this devastating storm.
