"Feeding Families” is an ongoing fundraiser to feed local families and provide personal care bags door-to-door within San Ignacio, Baja California Sur and surrounding communities that have suffered extensively during the COVID-19 pandemic. Feeding Families has been aiding those in need since April 2020.
To date, we have distributed $12,500 of food and personal care items to thousands of residents. Our dedicated core team of volunteers have been working tirelessly to make sure the people of San Ignacio and surrounding communities are receiving the food and basics they need as COVID-19 continues to paralyze the local tourism economy. Community mayors have stated, “Feeding Families is unequivocally helping protect our residents through this unprecedented time of hardship."
Donations:
$35 USD/700 MXN feeds a family of 4 for 1 week
$100 USD/2,000 MXN feeds 3 families for 1 week
Funds are needed urgently. Please consider donating so we may continue to help those in need.
Every delivery includes fresh vegetables and fruit, dog and cat food. We feed the animals, too!
The families and citizens of San Ignacio, Baja California Sur and surrounding areas thank you for your support. Together we are strong!
Let’s continue #FeedingFamilies.
Our core team & devoted volunteers: Mario, Eduardo, Jessica pack, load and deliver.
Jesus Aguilar, 91, the very first recipient of Feeding Families' pandemic food delivery service.
Deliveries support distant ranches and cabelleros too, as the economy is fragile locally.
We make triple sure the elders are covered! We want them feeling safe and loved.
Door-to-door service with a smile.
Feeding Families feeds the family dogs and cats, too! We are animal-lovers...
Sofia rescues animals so we gave her large bags, to support her big heart and hungry fur-friends.
Carmen has lived 86 years on the shores of the San Ignacio whale lagoon, where gray whales give birth and lucky human visitors get to touch them from their boats. Her husband Pachico was the first fisherman to have a close encounter with the friendly whales in 1974.
The long road to deliver food and essentials to remote ranches... the 3-hour tour.
Feeding Families includes fresh vegetables and fruit, dog and cat food, with every delivery.
$35 USD/700 MXN pays for 1 fresh food bag & 1 food basics bag.
Your donation stretches a LONG way.
1 food bag delivery typically covers a family of 4 for 1- 2 weeks.
