Rally for Pony: Rebuilding After the Blaze
Donation protected
On December 28, 2024, the house that Pony Hulbert called home for the last 6 years was lost to a terrible house fire. He woke up to the screams of his roommate and saw smoke billowing out of the house. He was able to grab his most precious belonging, his pup, Chasey, and head outside after warning the other roommate. He then ran back inside the smoke-filled house to courageously help find the other roommate's dog who had hidden. Fortunately, the dog was grabbed by his roommate, as by then the smoke was too thick to see.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the fire, but sadly, the house was not salvageable. Unfortunately, Pony's motorcycle was kept in the garage, and that was where the fire spread the worst. It is currently in the shop in hopes that it will work again. Due to the high cost of not only living but having to start over, Pony has made the tough decision to relocate. He plans on moving to Portland, Maine, with a long-time friend in a few months.
The cost of starting over, relocating, and getting his bike back to working order is a lot to take on during this already very difficult time. Pony is one of the sweetest people I know who always goes above and beyond for people in his life. He is always willing to help and has the biggest heart. I'm hopeful we can all return a bit of the love to him during this tough time.
