Support for the Kohout Family

Andrew Kohout was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in June of 2024. Ewing Sarcoma would eventually lead to the amputation of his leg, but Drew and his family fought hard through all of the treatments and pain. As optimism grew in this new year for their new normal, we would learn that the cancer had spread. On April 8th, Drew's body couldn't fight any longer and he died with his family by his side.

Lacey and Drew shared three beautiful children: Logan (11), Max (8), and Lila (5). Drew put all of his energy into their happiness, and his passing causes incredible pain for those he leaves behind. Drew's only wish was to see his babies grow up. Lacey will continue their journey and always keep his memory alive.

Drew loved being a part of the Sycamore community, and we continue to be grateful for the support from the school, friends, neighbors, and sports teams that have woven themselves together with the Kohout family.
