Statistically people with disabilities are underemployed; our Veterans with disabilities are not excluded from this figure. My name is Steven Brogan and I am a Rehabilitative Counselor working with wounded, ill and injured Service Members as they heal and get ready to transition into civilian life. In my position I often see the challenges that an injury or illness can cause in the lives of military families. However,I also know that the littlest of support can make a huge difference in changing peoples' lives as they adjust to a disability.
I believe our Veterans deserve opportunities for positive change and I have chosen to ride 322 miles from Pittsburg, PA to Washington DC to bring awareness to this issue, but also to raise money for programing that will directly affect the lives of transitioning Veterans. ops and their family members as they heal and transition to civilian life. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from my ride and through this gofundme site will go directly to Freedom Alliance.
