Hello all,

My brother (Timothy) is in extreme need of financial assistance, and although we HATE to go this route, we are left with no other option.

Timothy had to take a medical leave of absence from work due to his mental health illnesses. After our mom died suddenly one year ago (now both parents are gone) with new uncalled for stress at work, and misdiagnoses from his psychiatrists, Timothy is left with what we can only call “delusions” that are clouding his judgement. His current mental health team is not being helpful at all. They are not available when he needs it and keep changing his diagnosis and medications which is exacerbating everything. We also didn't know how terrible his mental health team was going to be (don't worry, we're currently working on getting him a better team).

The short-term disability payment has not gone through (for four months now) because the HR person forgot about his case until Timothy pressed him a month after it should have been processed. This severely delayed the money he was supposed to receive to pay for rent and bills. He has already used all the money he had saved up for emergencies, because none of us knew it was going to take THIS LONG to receive financial assistance.

My cousin (with her immediate family) and I (with my husband) have been the only family that has helped financially during this time. Our grandparents continue to disregard his cry for help and tell him to “ask Melissa or Jeanetty to help”. We’ve exhausted all our options and done as much as we are capable of, but he needs way more help than we can provide.

We know everyone is having a hard time and don’t ask for a lot, but only whatever you can spare to keep Timothy afloat until his backpay comes through. We want to thank every one of you for being there for Timothy when he needed help three years ago. We thank you in advance for helping him again.
