Together We Rise

Wij zijn vier leerlingen uit 5vwo die deze fundraiser hebben opgezet om onze anti-discriminatie stichting “Together We Rise” te financieren.
Wij zijn deze stichting begonnen omdat we vinden dat er iets gedaan moet worden met betrekking tot racisme, beginnend met de situatie binnen Nederland. De politiek heeft lang genoeg op zich laten wachten, het is nu tijd voor actie.
Wij zien dat het onderwijs weinig tot geen aandacht besteed aan racisme, slavernij en kansenongelijkheid, terwijl dit extreem belangrijk is om de situatie te begrijpen en te verbeteren. Ons plan is het opzetten van een educatieprogramma op middelbare scholen dat zich focust op het informeren van leerlingen over de oorzaken en effecten van deze zaken.
Het geld zal worden gebruikt voor het volgende;
Het betalen van een notaris en de KvK, het financieren van marketing (o.a. website) en het creëren en uitvoeren van het educatieprogramma.

We are four Dutch students in our 5th year of (Dutch) high school, we started this fundraiser to finance our anti-discrimination non-profit organization “Together We Rise”.
We started this foundation because we believe something has to change regarding racism, starting with the situation in our own country, The Netherlands. We have waited for politicians long enough, the time for action is now.
We see that the education system rarely talks about racism, slavery and inequality, even though this is crucial to understanding and improving the situation. Our plan is to set up an educational program focused on informing students about the causes and effects of these matters.
The money we raise will be used for the following;
Paying for a notary and the KvK (the Dutch organization in charge of the business register), marketing finance (e.g. website) and creating of our education program.
