I'm June, and I created Arizona Advocacy Hub in March 2024 to help people connect what's happening in the world to real action in their own neighborhoods. It started as an online community and grew into a weekly newsletter, an events calendar, and a daily presence across seven platforms.

Here are my numbers so far: 52 issues of Sunburnt & Stubborn, published weekly. 2,515 events shared, from protests and phone banks to town halls and volunteer shifts. 103 Arizona organizations highlighted. More than 12,000 Arizonans have engaged with this work, including many people in rural communities who use the Hub to get informed and involved.

I write the newsletter, manage the website, create the calendar, find the events, post on social media, and work every day to make civic engagement feel accessible and local. My goal is to build a politically informed electorate that is plugged in to pro-democracy events and organizations across Arizona.

The problem is that right now, the Hub is not financially sustainable. Newsletter subscriptions bring in only about $500 a year, which helps, but it is not enough to keep this project growing or to support me while I continue doing this work.

Donations to this fundraiser will help cover the Ghost platform fee, my Canva subscription, our virtual calendar, and new outreach efforts that can expand the Hub's reach even further. I also want to build a strong network of supporters who can help amplify content across social media so more people can find local opportunities to take action.

This fundraiser is also deeply personal for me: I'm neurodivergent, and no longer able to work in the 20-year career I built, and this support would truly be a lifeline as I work to keep Arizona Advocacy Hub alive and growing.

If you believe we need to work together to build a more resilient Arizona, please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser. I'm doing my best to connect people to the organizations doing good work, and with your help, we can reach even more neighbors who want to make a difference.

Please Note: Arizona Advocacy Hub is not currently a registered nonprofit, so donations are not tax-deductible. I'll update this page when that changes. In the meantime, funds go directly to operating costs and to supporting this work.
