Azad Abdul-Hamid Mustafa and his Parents

As Salam Wa Alaykum.

As some of you may know, my beloved uncle returned to his creator on the 27th April 2025. He was truly a great man with great faith in his religion Allahumma barik. There was not one prayer he would miss, he’d pray all 5 prayers and the mosque was truly his home. He had the kindest soul and would love to joke about and that’s something we will never forget about him. Alhamdulilah he has returned to his creator and May it have been when Allah SWT was most pleased with him and In’Sha’Allah he is now with both his parents waiting to enter the gates of Jannatul firdous.

As a man who never forgot his faith and who would worry to miss his prayers at the mosque I In’Sha’Allah plan to use this money to build a water well in his name and his parents next to a Mosque as their Sadaqah Jariyah.

Any donations exceeding the targeted amount will also be put towards Sadaqah jariyah.

Water is one of the best forms of charity.

On the authority of Sa‘d bin ’Ubadah that he said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Umm (mother of) Sa‘d has died, so which charity is best?’ He (saw) replied, ‘[Providing] water’. He (ra) said, ‘So [Sa’d] dug a well and said, “This (well) is for Umm Sa‘d”’. [Abu Dawud]
