Hello, we are Bea and Claudia, close friends of Alejandra, and we are creating this campaign to support her and her family during a very difficult time.

We never imagined we would have to write something like this for someone so close to us, but today we do it because we want to stand by her and help.

Alejandra is the mother of two teenagers and, together with her husband, made the decision over 10 years ago to leave Venezuela in search of safety, stability, and a better future for their children.

During all these years in the United States, they have worked hard to build a peaceful, stable life with strong values for their family.

The day before Thanksgiving, everything changed.

Her husband, Miguel, left home for work like any other day… and he never came back. He was detained in an immigration process and has remained in a detention center in Florida since then.

Several months have now passed.

Today, Alejandra is on her own, trying to support her children emotionally and financially, while they try to understand why their father is no longer at home. The questions, the fear, and the uncertainty are part of their daily lives.

Miguel is a hardworking man, a present father, and the pillar of their home. He has always put his family first.

And now he is not here.

In addition to facing this emotional hardship, Alejandra is trying to cover all household expenses along with urgent legal costs, which are essential to continue moving forward as a family.

We know that asking for help is not easy, especially for someone like her. But there are moments in life when you cannot do it alone… and this is one of them.

That is why today we are asking for support for Alejandra and her children.

Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference for them during this time.

Hola, somos Bea y Claudia, amigas cercanas de Alejandra, y estamos creando esta campaña para apoyarla a ella y a su familia en un momento muy difícil.

Nunca pensamos que tendríamos que escribir algo así por alguien tan cercano, pero hoy lo hacemos porque queremos acompañarla y ayudarla.

Alejandra es mamá de dos adolescentes y, junto a su esposo, hace más de 10 años tomó la decisión de salir de Venezuela en busca de seguridad, estabilidad y un mejor futuro para sus hijos.

Durante todos estos años en los Estados Unidos, han trabajado duro para construir una vida tranquila, estable y con valores para su familia.

El día antes de Acción de Gracias, todo cambió.

Su esposo, Miguel, salió de la casa rumbo al trabajo, como cualquier otro día… y no regresó. Fue detenido en un proceso migratorio y desde entonces permanece en un centro de detención en Florida.

Desde entonces han pasado ya varios meses.

Hoy Alejandra está sola, tratando de sostener emocional y económicamente a sus hijos, mientras ellos intentan entender por qué su papá ya no está en casa. Las preguntas, el miedo y la incertidumbre forman parte de su día a día.

Miguel es un hombre trabajador, un padre presente y el pilar de su hogar. Siempre ha puesto a su familia primero.

Y ahora no está.

Además de enfrentar este golpe emocional, Alejandra está tratando de cubrir todos los gastos del hogar junto con los costos urgentes de representación legal, que son fundamentales para poder seguir adelante como familia.

Sabemos que pedir ayuda no es fácil, y menos para alguien como ella. Pero hay momentos en los que uno no puede solo… y este es uno de ellos.

Por eso hoy queremos pedir apoyo para Alejandra y sus hijos.

Cualquier aporte, por pequeño que sea, puede hacer una diferencia real para ellos en este momento.
