Hello, my name is María, and I’m raising funds to help my aunt and our family through a really hard moments of our lives.
In 2021, my aunt and her daughter, son and husband immigrated to the United States seeking a better life , a place where they could work with dignity, live in peace, and build a hopeful future.
She is a woman who radiates light, love, and strength. The kind of person who brightens every place she goes, helps others without expecting anything in return, and always does her best to do what’s right.
On Friday, October 24th, after attending a routine immigration appointment, she was detained by ICE upon leaving the building.
She had been complying with all her requirements and waiting patiently for a decision on her asylum case. However, she was unexpectedly detained and now faces a long and expensive legal process. Since that day, our hearts have been filled with sadness and uncertainty. We miss her laughter, her energy, and her love deeply.
She also suffers from severe back and neck pain due to a previous accident, which makes this situation even harder — both physically and emotionally. Her husband and children are devastated, and all of us who love her continue fighting to bring her back home.
Our goal is to raise $7,000 to cover attorney fees, immigration paperwork, and expenses related to her release process.
We’ve done everything we can, but we can’t do this alone, which is why we decided to open this GoFundMe with hope and faith.
With humility and love, we ask for your support.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to seeing her free again — to hug her, tell her “we love you”, and help her continue fighting for the life she has worked so hard to build.
If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign means the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read, for your compassion, and for standing with us during this painful time.
May God bless you and multiply your kindness. .
