Hola a todos, mi nombre es Lina.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una situación muy difícil que estamos viviendo en mi familia. Mi mamá, Rosmary Carvajal, está pasando por graves problemas de salud que cambiaron nuestras vidas de un día para otro.

Mi mamá tiene artritis reumatoidea desde hace 8 años, una condición que en los últimos meses se ha agravado. En mayo de este año, de un momento a otro, ella dejó de caminar. Al principio pensamos que era parte de su artritis. Estuvo internada más de una semana y la única explicación inicial fue que tenía problemas en la ciática.

Sin embargo, su condición siguió empeorando. Volvimos al hospital y, tras nuevos exámenes, nos informaron que mi mamá también tenía diabetes, presión alta y trombos en las piernas, pecho y pulmones. Todo esto ha afectado gravemente su estado de salud. Mi mamá, una mujer activa y trabajadora, hoy no puede moverse por sí sola, perdió su empleo y depende completamente de nosotras.

Después de muchas visitas al hospital, finalmente descubrieron que tiene dos hernias discales que deben ser operadas de urgencia este 4 de diciembre. La cirugía implica un riesgo alto, especialmente porque los trombos han afectado la función de su corazón. Después de la operación necesitará varios cuidados médicos y terapias que serán costosas.

Además, mi mamá tuvo que suspender prednisona, una medicina vital para ella, porque debe tenerla fuera de su sistema antes de la cirugía. Sin esa medicina, sus dolores son mucho más fuertes y su movilidad es casi nula.

Como hija, estoy completamente destrozada. Trabajo, cuido de mi mamá y hago todo lo posible para sostener esta situación, pero los gastos médicos se han vuelto muy difíciles de manejar sola.

Por eso hoy, con todo mi corazón, les pido una ayuda, por pequeña que sea. Cualquier aporte será un apoyo inmenso para los cuidados, medicamentos y necesidades que vienen después de la cirugía.

Gracias de verdad por leerme, por su apoyo y por estar aquí. Esta ha sido una de las decisiones más difíciles de mi vida, pero lo hago porque estoy agotada y ya no tengo otra opción.

Today I want to share a very difficult situation my family and I are going through. My mom, Rosmary Carvajal, is dealing with serious health issues that changed our lives from one day to the next.

My mom has had rheumatoid arthritis for the past 8 years, a condition that has worsened in recent months. In May of this year, she suddenly stopped walking. At first, we thought it was part of her arthritis. She was hospitalized for more than a week, and the only initial explanation was that she was having issues with her sciatic nerve.

However, her condition continued to worsen. We returned to the hospital, and after more tests, we were told that my mom also had diabetes, high blood pressure, and blood clots in her legs, chest, and lungs. All of this has severely affected her health. My mom, a hardworking and active woman, is now unable to move on her own, lost her job, and depends entirely on us.

After many hospital visits, they finally discovered that she has two herniated discs that need to be operated on urgently this December 4th. The surgery carries a high risk, especially because the blood clots have affected her heart function. After the operation, she will need several medical treatments and therapies that will be very costly.

Additionally, my mom had to stop taking prednisone, a vital medication for her, because it must be out of her system before the surgery. Without this medication, her pain is much stronger, and her mobility is almost nonexistent.

As her daughter, I am completely devastated. I work, take care of my mom, and do everything I can to handle this situation, but the medical expenses have become extremely difficult to manage on my own.

That is why today, with all my heart, I am asking for help, even the smallest amount. Any contribution will be a tremendous support for her care, medications, and the needs that will come after the surgery.
