PLEASE HELP GET MOM OUT. Ayúdame a sacar a mi madre de Haití

My name is Angela Salellas, I am Spanish/Haitian and I write this with a heavy heart. And believe me, before doing this I have tried many other options but it would take too long.

Just a few days ago, armed men broke into my mother's home in Haiti. They warned her that if she doesnt leave, they will kill her. Since then, her life has been in real and urgent danger. She is 70 years old. A couple of years ago, she suffered a stroke and she is still recovering, and I must find a way to get her out of there, no matter what. Sorry to do this but given the security situation, the cost of this travel is now very high with few reliable facilitators available. I am not showing her face for security reasons.

Haiti is facing an extreme humanitarian crisis: violence, political instability, food shortages, and a total lack of security. My mother is trapped in the middle of all this, alone, vulnerable, and with no immediate way out.

I am raising funds to get her out of the country as soon as possible and to a safe place. The goal is to find a way for her to cross the border into the Dominican Republic, where I can meet her and accompany her to the Spanish Embassy in Santo Domingo to renew her visa—a crucial step in bringing her with me to safety.

I can't do it alone. Many who know me know that I'm not one to ask for help, but if I do, it's because my mother is facing certain death if I don't act as quickly as possible.

This is one of the most difficult situations I've ever faced in my life. Seeing my mother threatened with death and not being able to protect her is devastating. Standing idly by, hoping the country will get better is even worse. But with your help, there's still hope.

Mi nombre es Angela Salellas Jacques, soy Española / Haitiana y escribo esto con el corazón en la mano. Lamento pedir este apoyo economico debido a los altos costes en Haiti debido a la situacion y los pocos servicios que puede el pais prestar. Hace apenas unos días, unos hombres armados irrumpieron en la casa de mi madre en Haití. Le advirtieron que, si no se iba, la matarían. Desde ese momento, su vida corre un peligro real y urgente. Ella tiene 70 años. Hace un par de años, padeció de un Ictus y aun se esta recuperando y debo buscar una manera de sacarla de ahi sea como sea.

Haití atraviesa una crisis humanitaria extrema: violencia, inestabilidad política, escasez de alimentos y una total falta de seguridad. Mi madre se encuentra atrapada en medio de todo esto, sola, vulnerable y sin salida inmediata.

Estoy recaudando fondos para poder sacarla del país lo antes posible y llevarla a un lugar seguro. El objetivo es encontrar una vía para que pueda cruzar la frontera hacia la República Dominicana, donde yo pueda reunirme con ella y acompañarla a la Embajada de España en Santo Domingo para renovar su visado, un paso crucial para poder traerla conmigo a un lugar seguro.

No puedo hacerlo sola. Muchos que ya me conocen saben que no soy de pedir ayuda, pero si lo hago es porque mi madre esta a la espera de una muerte segura si no actuo con la mayor rapidez posible.

Esta es una de las situaciónes más difíciles que he enfrentado en mi vida. Ver a mi madre amenazada de muerte y no poder protegerla es devastador. Quedarme de brazos cruzados esperando que el pais vaya a mejor es aun peor. Pero con tu ayuda, aún hay esperanza.

Cada donación, por pequeña que sea, cuenta. Cada euro puede acercarnos a salvar su vida.
