Me da un poco de vergüenza pedir ayuda, pero hoy la necesito. ❤️

Durante un evento, un accidente dañó uno de mis objetivos fotográficos. No busco culpar a nadie, solo encontrar una manera de repararlo o reemplazarlo para poder seguir trabajando.

La idea de crear esta campaña me la dio el embajador de México en Portugal, quien también se ofreció a compartirla.

Sigo haciendo lo que puedo por todos, apoyando eventos, creando proyectos y dándolo todo con la mejor energía.

¿QUIÉN SOY?

Hola, soy Camilo Gordillo, colombiano viviendo en Portugal. Trabajo en fotografía, vídeo, documentales, publicidad, teatro y proyectos culturales.

Me gusta aprender, crear y colaborar con otras personas. Donde me inviten a aportar, aprender o hacer algo interesante, ahí estaré.

¿QUÉ OCURRIÓ?

Hace poco participé en la celebración del 216.º aniversario de la Independencia de México en Portugal, junto a la Embajada de México y Ritmos Cholulteka.

Durante el evento ocurrió un accidente: una persona tropezó y golpeó desde abajo uno de mis objetivos fotográficos. El objetivo cayó de su estuche y sufrió daños en sus elementos ópticos internos, que ahora se pueden ver claramente.

¿POR QUÉ NECESITO AYUDA?

No perdí todo mi equipo, pero este objetivo es importante para determinados trabajos de fotografía y vídeo.

El objetivo tuvo un coste total de 5.907.964 pesos colombianos, según la factura de compra. Tomando como referencia un cambio aproximado de 1 € = 3.980 COP, esto equivale a unos 1.484 €.

Además, todavía estoy pagando parte de ese equipo, porque tuve que pedir dinero prestado para poder comprarlo. Por eso, repararlo o reemplazarlo representa ahora un esfuerzo económico importante.

¿POR QUÉ CREÉ ESTA CAMPAÑA?

Al contarle lo ocurrido al embajador de México en Portugal, tuvo la generosidad de sugerirme crear esta campaña y ofrecerse a compartirla con personas de su red.

Esto me animó a pedir ayuda, algo que no me resulta fácil.

UN POCO SOBRE MI VIDA

Como migrante en Portugal, estoy intentando construir mi vida, conseguir estabilidad económica y fortalecer mi comunidad.

No siempre tengo los recursos para viajar a Colombia o estar cerca de mi familia. También enfrento dificultades de salud debido a una enfermedad crónica que afecta considerablemente mi salud y mi movilidad.

Pero la damos toda. Sigo buscando la manera de trabajar, aprender, crear y salir adelante.

MI TRABAJO Y MIS PROYECTOS

Mi trabajo no se limita a la fotografía o al vídeo de eventos. He participado en proyectos de turismo, documentales, campañas sociales y educativas, publicidad, comunicación institucional, vídeos corporativos y actividades culturales.

Actualmente trabajo en This Is Lisbon Hostel, donde me verán haciendo de todo: bailando, nadando, en bici, tomando fotos, grabando vídeos o tomando una cerveza.

También vendo postales, hago fotografía química con cámaras de medio formato y realizo workshops de fotografía.

Me gustaría seguir creciendo y ayudar a crear oportunidades para otros. Conozco fotógrafos, videógrafos, diseñadores, músicos, actores, técnicos y artistas con mucho talento.

¿CUÁL ES MI OBJETIVO?

La necesidad de ahora es concreta: reparar o reemplazar el objetivo dañado para poder continuar trabajando.

Si se alcanza una cantidad superior, también me gustaría proteger mejor mi equipo, considerar un seguro y seguir desarrollando proyectos audiovisuales y culturales.

I keep doing my best for everyone, supporting events, creating projects, and giving it my all with the best energy.

WHO AM I?

Hello, my name is Camilo Gordillo. I am Colombian and currently living in Portugal. I work in photography, video, documentaries, advertising, theatre, and cultural projects.

I enjoy learning, creating, and collaborating with others. Wherever I am invited to contribute, learn, or do something interesting, I will be there.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, I participated in the celebration of the 216th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence in Portugal, together with the Embassy of Mexico and Ritmos Cholulteka.

During the event, an accident occurred: someone tripped and hit one of my camera lenses from underneath. The lens fell out of its case and suffered damage to its internal optical elements, which are now clearly visible.

WHY DO I NEED HELP?

I did not lose all of my equipment, but this lens is important for certain photography and video jobs.

According to the purchase invoice, the lens had a total cost of 5,907,964 Colombian pesos. Using an approximate exchange rate of €1 = 3,980 COP, this is equivalent to around €1,484.

I am also still paying for part of this equipment, as I had to borrow money to purchase it. Therefore, repairing or replacing it represents a significant financial challenge for me right now.

WHY DID I CREATE THIS CAMPAIGN?

When I told the Mexican ambassador in Portugal what had happened, he generously suggested that I create this campaign and offered to share it with people in his network.

This encouraged me to ask for help, which is not always easy for me.

A LITTLE ABOUT MY LIFE

As a migrant in Portugal, I am trying to build my life, achieve financial stability, and strengthen my community.

I do not always have the resources to travel to Colombia or be close to my family. I also face health difficulties due to a chronic illness that significantly affects my health and mobility.

Even so, I continue looking for ways to work, learn, create, and move forward.

MY WORK AND PROJECTS

My work is not limited to photography or filming events. I have been involved in tourism projects, documentaries, social and educational campaigns, advertising, institutional communication, corporate videos, and cultural activities.

I currently work at This Is Lisbon Hostel, where you may see me doing a bit of everything: dancing, swimming, cycling, taking photos, recording videos, or having a beer.

I also sell postcards, work with medium-format analogue photography, and run photography workshops.

I would like to keep growing and help create opportunities for others. I know many talented photographers, videographers, designers, musicians, actors, technicians, and artists.

WHAT IS MY GOAL?

My immediate need is specific: to repair or replace the damaged lens so I can continue working.

If the campaign raises more than the necessary amount, I would also like to better protect my equipment, consider insurance, and continue developing audiovisual and cultural projects.
