Hi, my name is Patricia. I came to the U.S. five years ago as a tourist, never imagining that my life would change forever. When the pandemic hit, I couldn’t return home. During that time, I met the man who is now my husband. We fell in love, got married, and started a beautiful family.

Since then, I’ve been a stay-at-home mom, dedicating my life to raising our children with love and care. But now, everything we’ve built is at risk.

After years of trying to legalize my immigration status, our case was denied—and I’ve been given only 30 days to leave the country. That means being forced to return to Peru with my children and leave my husband behind. The thought of breaking our family apart is devastating.

My husband doesn’t speak Spanish, and relocating the whole family isn’t financially possible. We’ve found an attorney who can help us reopen the case, but the legal fees are $13,000—something we simply can’t afford right now.
