Hola, mi nombre es Andrea y hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una situación muy difícil que estamos atravesando como familia, una de esas circunstancias que jamás imaginamos tener que enfrentar.

Aunque somos conscientes de la realidad que se está viviendo actualmente en Estados Unidos, siempre mantuvimos la esperanza de que una situación como esta no tocaría nuestra puerta. Hemos procurado hacer las cosas bien, trabajar honestamente y construir una vida tranquila, confiando en que todo estaría bien.

Sin embargo, el pasado 7 de octubre, alrededor de las 10 de la mañana, mi pareja, Héctor López, se dirigía a su trabajo cuando fue detenido por las autoridades y posteriormente quedó bajo custodia de ICE.

Desde ese momento, Héctor permanece detenido y nuestras vidas han cambiado de una manera completamente inesperada. Ha sido una situación que nos ha tomado por sorpresa y que ha impactado profundamente nuestra estabilidad familiar, emocional y económica.

Héctor es un hombre amoroso, responsable y profundamente trabajador. Es padre de dos niños maravillosos, de quienes actualmente tiene la responsabilidad de cuidar. Quienes lo conocen saben cuánto se esfuerza cada día por su familia, por su trabajo y por construir un futuro mejor para las personas que ama.

Creo firmemente que Dios tiene un propósito mayor detrás de cada situación que vivimos. Confío en que incluso en los momentos de incertidumbre hay oportunidades de crecimiento, nuevos comienzos y bendiciones que todavía no alcanzamos a comprender.

Sin embargo, mientras descubrimos todo lo bonito que Dios tiene preparado para nosotros, estamos atravesando una etapa que también trae consigo importantes desafíos económicos.

En este momento estamos haciendo todo lo que está a nuestro alcance para conseguir la asesoría y representación legal que Héctor necesita. Sabemos que estos procesos pueden ser largos e inciertos y que implican gastos importantes, especialmente cuando, de manera repentina, dejamos de contar con una parte fundamental de los ingresos de nuestro hogar.

Por esta razón, hoy acudimos a ustedes con humildad y esperanza para pedirles su apoyo.

Cualquier contribución, por pequeña que sea, nos ayudará a afrontar los gastos relacionados con su proceso migratorio y las responsabilidades económicas indispensables que debemos asumir durante su ausencia.

No sabemos cuánto tiempo tomará este camino ni cuáles serán los desafíos que tendremos que enfrentar, pero estamos haciendo todo lo posible para que Héctor cuente con la representación legal adecuada y podamos tomar las mejores decisiones para el bienestar de nuestra familia.

Hoy elegimos mantener la fe, confiar en los tiempos de Dios y seguir adelante con la certeza de que, de una manera u otra, vendrán cosas buenas.

Hi, my name is Andrea, and today I want to share with you a very difficult situation that my family and I are going through, one of those circumstances we never imagined we would have to face.

Although we are aware of the reality of what is happening in the United States today, we always held on to the hope that a situation like this would never reach our doorstep. We have always tried to do things the right way, work honestly, and build a peaceful life, trusting that everything would be okay.

However, on October 7th, at around 10:00 a.m., my partner, Héctor López, was on his way to work when he was stopped and detained by law enforcement and subsequently taken into ICE custody.

Since that moment, Héctor has remained in detention, and our lives have changed in ways we never expected. This situation caught us completely off guard and has deeply affected our family’s emotional and financial stability.

Héctor is a loving, responsible, and incredibly hardworking man. He is the father of two wonderful children, for whom he is currently the primary caregiver. Those who know him understand how much effort he puts into his family, his work, and building a better future for the people he loves.

I firmly believe that God has a greater purpose behind every situation we experience. I trust that even in moments of uncertainty, there are opportunities for growth, new beginnings, and blessings that we may not yet fully understand.

However, while we discover all the beautiful things God has in store for us, we are also going through a time that brings significant financial challenges.

Right now, we are doing everything within our power to obtain the legal guidance and representation that Héctor needs. We understand that these processes can be lengthy and uncertain, and that they involve significant expenses, especially when we have suddenly lost an essential source of income for our household.

For this reason, today we are reaching out to you with humility and hope to ask for your support.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us cover the expenses related to his immigration process and the essential financial responsibilities we must manage during his absence.

We do not know how long this journey will take or what challenges we may face along the way, but we are doing everything possible to ensure that Héctor receives the proper legal representation and that we can make the best decisions for the well-being of our family.

Today, we choose to hold on to our faith, trust in God’s timing, and move forward with the certainty that, one way or another, good things are ahead.
