Hola, me llamo Sonia Márquez y hoy les pido con el corazón su apoyo para ayudar a mi mamá, una mujer noble de 64 años que acaba de vivir una de las experiencias más duras de su vida.

El pasado 2 de abril 2025 fue desalojada injustamente del hogar donde vivió por más de 30 años en Mérida, Venezuela, a pesar de tener un contrato vigente y estar al día con sus pagos. Sin respetar el debido proceso, un juez ordenó su desalojo sin visitar el lugar, sin darle oportunidad de defenderse y con un expediente oculto.

Mi madre pasó dos días en la calle, con la misma ropa, sin acceso a sus pertenencias, completamente desprotegida. Gracias a la presión legal de un abogado, ayer logró recuperarlas, pero sigue en total vulnerabilidad, sin un techo seguro donde dormir.

Mi mayor deseo es traerla a vivir conmigo en Cali, Colombia, y reunir los fondos necesarios para comprarle una vivienda donde pueda tener un hogar digno, seguro y rodeado de amor.

Hello, my name is Sonia Márquez, and today I’m reaching out with all my heart to ask for your support to help my mother a kind, 64 year old woman who just went through one of the most difficult experiences of her life.

On April 2nd, 2025, she was unjustly evicted from the home she had lived in for over 30 years in Mérida, Venezuela, despite having a valid rental agreement and being up to date with her payments. Without following due process, a judge ordered her eviction without ever visiting the property, without allowing her to defend herself, and with the case file kept hidden.

My mother spent two days on the street, wearing the same clothes, without access to her belongings, completely unprotected. Thanks to legal pressure from a lawyer, she was able to recover her things yesterday but she remains in a vulnerable situation, without a safe place to sleep.

My greatest wish is to bring her to live with me in Cali, Colombia, and raise the funds needed to buy her a home a place where she can live with dignity, safety, and love
