Aylesbury VW Owners Public Liability Insurance & Flags

Hi All,

Since I started our club in 2020, all costs for banners, flags, hardware etc have come out of my own pocket so that the club can remain totally free for all members to join and attend our own events.

However, we (the club) are now being asked to pay for Public Liability Insurance annually to be able to attend shows. Venues and show organisers are asking to see our certificate, otherwise we will not be allowed a club stand. I have now organised and paid for this through the Association of British VW Clubs, who were set up mainly for this purpose to give discounted cover to clubs like ourselves.

I have also finally purchased 2 new large event flags, which were well overdue to make our club stand look even better at shows.

The flags and insurance have come in at £237.05 in total. Thankfully I have saved some money by doing the artwork design myself. I have therefore had to create a crowd funding pay to help me reimburse some of these recent costs.

We (the committee) will look at how we can fund PLI costs going forward so I am hoping this crowd funding request will be the first and only time it is needed.

Anything you can give towards this will be greatly appreciated.
