Ayesha's Hike to Build an Orphanage in Uganda

On Saturday, 19th July 2025, I’ll be taking part in a Women-Only Charity Hike at the beautiful Aston Rowant Nature Reserve, supporting an amazing cause.

This hike is in aid of the Unity Trust Project, which—Alhamdulillah—has already made a life-changing impact in a rural village in Uganda. In 2023, Unity Trust Project embarked on a mission to transform this village by building a Masjid, installing a water well, and providing electricity. By the grace of Allah, Phase 1 of this project has been successfully completed, delivering essential facilities to the community.

Now, Phase 2 Begins: Building a Home for 50 Orphaned Girls

Unity Trust Project is now launching the next phase of this vital mission: constructing an orphanage for approximately 50 orphaned girls who are in urgent need of shelter, safety, and education.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"I and the one who cares for an orphan will be together in Paradise like this,"

and he held his two fingers close together. (Bukhari & Muslim)

I’ve committed to this hike and set a personal fundraising goal of £150. Every pound raised will go directly to the construction of this orphanage — building not just walls, but hope, security, and opportunity for these girls.
