God's ways are certainly higher than ours...

Aimee and Jeremiah have been married for four years and in those four years they have been dealt a hand of loss. After six months, they had their first miscarriage. Less than a year later, they were pregnant again. Devastatingly, this pregnancy ended with an ectopic pregnancy and emergency surgery to remove one of Aimee's tubes. 

Aimee has been my best friend for 10 years and seeing the immeasurable pain she was in tore my heart. I saw her struggle in her soul wondering why this would keep happening to her and feeling so angry and bitter for what they were having to go through. They thought God had finally heard their prayers when they managed to get pregnant again with one tube..but it wasn't meant to be and a month later Aimee was getting methotrexate injections to try and dissolve another ectopic pregnancy. Two weeks later, her remaining tube ruptured and she had another emergency surgery and ultimately lost her last tube. There are no words for that time of their lives. Nothing that can come close to the heartache of losing three babies and knowing she was out of chances.

BUT.. GOD's ways are higher and we cannot understand them. Especially not in the moment; not when we are in the valley.

About six months later Aimee and Jeremiah felt the pull of adoption. They prayed and prayed but honestly it never felt like a hard decision. Not for one second. They entered an amazing program and then they waited. For almost 18 months they hoped.. And they feared.. And they cried and wondered if this could be His plan. And then..on April 16th, God answered.

AYDAN LUCAS came into their world  (born April 14th, introduced to them on the 16th). He is everything. More than anyone could have ever hoped for. Truly a miracle and the most perfect blessing. This was God's plan. He truly understood better than we all did.

After more and more waiting Aydan's Gotcha Day has finally come!!! Aydan came into the Flynn's world in a whirlwind and they have everything physical that they need for him. What they would never ask for for themselves (so I will do it for them) is monetary help. Adoption is a long and financially burdensome journey. A journey that they began without even batting an eye. Having faith that God would provide for the money they needed to complete this journey. Let us be generous and bless their (and adorable little Aydan's) life
