Ayahuasca Defence Fund

A friend and fellow recipient of life changing plant medicine, specifically ayahuasca, was arrested by the Calgary Police SWAT team conducting a high risk entry. Chad is a non-violent, peaceful man that has found healing outside of the pharmaceutical industrial complex, after a lifetime of unsuccessful treatment in a broken system. To be arrested at gun point and your family home raided, for a plant medicine from Peru that has never killed anyone is the sign of a plagued system. How ironic is it, that thousands of people including police officers, firefighters and vets are consuming ayahuasca everyday to heal PTSD, untreatable depression, physical sickness, trauma, addictions and yet Chad was handcuffed and thrown in prison. Ayahuasca is a sacred medicine which has been used by Indigenous, South American tribes for thousands of years to heal their families and communities. 

Ayahuasca is not banned under United Nations conventions yet it is illegal in Canada where the sale of heroin, meth and cocaine is decriminalized. This needs to change. We need to help Chad avoid criminal prosecution for seeking to heal himself. We need your help so that thousands of other people can heal themselves without fear of having their front door kicked in and being incarcerated.
