The mission of Foster Parent Night Out (FPNO) is simple: to provide care and respite for the foster parents who serve our community's children. Through FPNO, foster parents recieve one evening each month to have a break and enjoy some time to care for themselves while trained volunteers care for their children. FPNO also provides children the opportunity to build healthy relationships with other adults who care for them in a safe, nurturing environment. We seek to give our children this needed reminder that they are loved and important! Last year we served almost 90 foster children - and would love to continue to meet this important need!
Currently, faith communities in Portland are providing this needed support to help our community retain its valuable foster parents and remind families they are not serving alone. Bread and Wine (http://breadandwine.org/) is just one faith community providing FPNO, and we are seeking financial support to continue to serve these families! All funds raised through this campaign will be used to meet the physical, safety and relational needs of the kids we serve (like all the food they can eat, sports equipment, art supplies, and kid-friendly entertainment!). Please join us and help sustain this well-loved ministry!
