Hello family and friends I created this GoFundMe with the intention to help my six -year-old daughter named Savannah. She is a beautiful, strong , lovable , outspoken, fun angel. An excellent student that excels in her academic work. About two weeks ago Savannah began losing feelings in her hands and legs which led to her having a brain stem stroke.
This unfortunate incident degenerated into a rear condition called acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) which is a rear, polio-like condition that affects the body’s nervous systems, specifically the spinal cord.
This condition has adversely affected her spinal cord and brain stem causing muscle weakness.
We are in the process of transferring her to The Kennedy Krieger Institute facility located in Baltimore Maryland for an intense rehab therapy.
Understanding the present financial constraints besetting Savannah’s family, I took this opportunity to crave your indulgence in helping me to support her family through this journey of Savannah’s recovery.
