Gone too soon...

Hi, my name is Paul Mele and I'm hosting this fundraiser for the widow of Ion (John) Dumitru. Johns life was tragically cut short on March 9th by a driver that has a recent history of negligent driving.

Johns journey began in Romania where even as a young boy he dreamed of one day living in America. In 1999 his dream became a reality and he moved to America with his wife (Vicki), sons (George and Bogdan) and daughter (Adina). He was a talented mechanic and provided the American dream for his family.

After years of working 6+ days a week, he and his wife moved to beautiful sunny Florida in 2019 to live out and enjoy their later years.

John was always the life of the party and a very generous man. Always first to offer a hand or advice from experience. He enjoyed hanging with friends, spending time with family, playing with his grandkids, fishing, boating and riding motorcycles.

Unfortunately, it was 2 of his passions that lead to the accident on March 9th 2023. John offered to fix my motorcycle for me. After months of basically rebuilding and fine tuning the bike, it was finally ready. He took the bike out for a test drive while doing errands and that's when the 2nd driver turned left in front of him and he was unable to stop. John expired at the scene.

As luck would have it, the insurance that was completed was not set to kick in until April.

Please help me in raising money for Vicki to help offset the funeral service, burial and other fees that she has been left with on her own.
